Upgraded To 2.6
Written by Jeffro On July 15, 2008 | Category Of Post (Wordpress) | 59 views | |
Just wanted to give a shout out and say that I upgraded the site to WordPress 2.6 with no issues what so ever. So far, I like what I see in this new version and I’ll be posting my thoughts later today over at Performancing. However, some people are having issues logging into their back end with FireFox 3.0.1. Not sure if this is a problem that everyone is experiencing but, you can use IE or an earlier version of FireFox for a work around.
What is your favorite feature in 2.6?

My favorite feature would be the post revisions, as it makes it possible for me to pitch using WordPress to even larger organizations. “What? Your CMS doesn’t save revisions? How 1999 is that?”

For everybody else who still have to upgrade, check it out:

Had a bit of trouble finding out what the new features were on the Wordpress site!
They have a blog post that helps:

I didn’t actually know there’s a FireFox 3.0.1 available, but with Firefox 3.0.0 personally haven’t experienced any issues up to now.
As for curiosity my favorite feature is the Theme Preview opportunity along with Post Revisions.
However, I’m kinda feeling desperate for I expected they’d implement the so much requested feature to update WordPress automatically.
I enjoyed your last WordPress Weekly episode, bytheway.

I’ve upgraded to 2.6 as well and I haven’t had any problems with it yet.
I would have to say that my favorite feature is the Post Revisions.

It has to be versioning on posts and that fact that you can compare to different versions.
On the Firefox 3.0.1 issue, it always loses my log on details when ever I install an update.
