WPWeekly To Have Its Own Domain
About a month or so ago, I began looking for a domain name that would suit WordPress Weekly as I have been meaning to move everything dealing with the show to it’s own domain. This will make it easier to manage and will provide a central repository for everything related to the show. I ended up being lucky enough to pick up the domain wpweekly.com. This domain is great for two reasons. The first being that it does not have WordPress in the actual domain name and the second, it’s short.
I’ve recently added the domain to my main hosting account which means that in about 24-72 hours, the domain will have propagated allowing me to install WordPress to the domain. Once that is installed, I’m thinking of using the Options theme by Justin Tadlock. I’ve been a big fan of this theme ever since I saw it debut on the WeblogToolsCollection theme release post.
What this all means is that, this Fridays WordPress Weekly episode will probably be the last one that calls jeffro2pt0.com home. I hope that by Friday of next week, everything will be in place on the new domain. Hope to see you over there once the dust settles.

Yep, I purposely put in MovableType just to see what would happen. I’ve gone ahead and corrected the intentional mistake
Thanks for playing!

That’s a great domain Jeff! That will make it much easier to promote the podcast as well. I’m looking forward to getting back on the show very soon! Ready to get this move over with!
